its cool bro were growing. we got a lot of stuff to put out lol
Duuude, this is dope. I really like how you incorporate simple sounds meshed together in way that really brings out style. A true piece of art.
I cant say if those grim piano keys are just one slice or a bunch of chops, but nonetheless the samplework fascinates.
Ahh and a hook that can branch out in a variety of interpretations is good stuff.
As far as I can sense, the only thing that would really improve over this would be a stronger bass that can be felt on a higher frequency.
But im using some AKG K77 headphones which are colorless. Maybe if I had some bass enhancing speakers they would stand out more?
On another note, have you ever worked with high frequency strings? I feel like that would go really well over this, especially over the 2nd portion of the main verse, to spice things up.
Glad to see your still around, Farmer CJ.

Pure Poetry :)
That third eye type shit, right here.

Knowing your penchant for multis I'm really surprised you dug this. I'm really glad you did, though. Cheers!
Good shit right here, from rhyme to reason and style, its not to be slept on.
The only cons I have to point out here are "sound quality" and "delivery of speech". I have the impression that you are an intelligent artist but struggle with energy balance and expectations of society. Dont we all, ha.
I cant say that I picked up on all your metaphors and punches in these few listens, but im sure theyll come to me, I got "Creature Comfort" and will soon add this one to my playlist.

I'm really glad you liked this, to be honest I wasn't very crazy about it myself and I knew that taking this in a new direction (when I haven't even mastered my usual style yet) was bound to come at a cost. The sound quality suffered a little because I got impatient with it not sounding like I wanted to and didn't want to re-listen to my mistakes repeatedly while mixing. Good call on your part.
I dig it dude, sounds a bit grainy but other than that I thought it was pretty great.
The off pitch to me, gave it character. Amusing percs, and how you experimented with fades, chops, repetition, and sound spectrum were qualities I admired.
I can understand how a lack of progression can make is seem mechanical, however the way you meshed these patterns from lowend to high freqs resulted into something attractive, at least to me. Theres more to music than sound, but we can get highly analytical about it too.
The thing about extreme analylists, nitpickers, are that they will never be satisfied and will continue to consume until collapse. Not calling out TaintedLogic here, his comment makes sense from a perfectionists point of view.
I enjoyed it very much, the piano is one of my favorite instruments.

crystal as fuck
thanks man, we got this
proper mix with your signature sound.
will be waiting for it to drop.

What a blend dude! That atmosphere you bring is always on point.
Absolutely amazing, I like it a lot. Only problem I see it that there is not enough swing to the percs, maybe I just need to listen to it more. Also there could be better bass presence, I liked that heavy metal bit too.
Dopeness maaan. Proper mix.
Yeah, not too much swing on the break. I wanted the cymbals in the Stallings sample to stand out more so I didn't offer much in the way of swinging hi-hats from the break.
The bass sounded better while I was chopping the same sample, but something happened when I added on the last 2 minutes. Figured I'd just live with it as it sounds alright the way it is.
~Mindfuck, It is love see~
